The past 1 month and 3 days
It has been awhile since I came back from Houston.
I have not been blogging because of the ultimate excuse - busy.
It is quite true though I still think if I want to write something, I would. So...
The last post was about the plan to meet up my friend in Doha. Yes, we met up finally. In a very warm night. I was having flu 2 days before I flew back, so I was a bit concerned that the airport authority might quarantine me in Doha. They didn't lock me up. The airport was not at high alert level as compared to what we saw when we arrived at KLIA. There were at least 8-10 people checking the forms of the passengers that just landed. Well, the security "seems" tight only.
I had to quarantine myself for 2 days and stayed home with sick leave because my company wanted anyone that just came back from overseas to home quarantine for 2 days. As my flu and fever didn't go away, I had to stay home to avoid any chances of Grey getting hit by H1N1. So, I stayed home for 5 days, avoid contact with people except going out for lunch and dinner, joining the day tour to Melaka on the weekend :)
It took me 2 weeks to recover from the flu, 3 trips to the clinics due to slightly high body temperature, but nothing close to H1N1.
When I finally "almost" recovered, the day before we flew off to Kuching for the World Rainforest Music Festival, I started coughing again. The day when we flew off, I was totally having flu, again! Knowing how paranoid the government is over the H1N1, I seriously worried that they will quarantine me if they hear me cough in the airport and on the plane. So, I dosed myself with sore throat lozenges and fishermans friend throughout the flight.
The World Rainforest Music Festival was a bit overated, but the fact that 14 of my closest friends actually came together in Kuching made all the way up to the trip's highlight. I wonder when will be the next time we have these many of us travelling to the same place again. Definitely look forward for that.
So, I was still not fully off the flu's hook by the time we came back from Kuching. The incredibly rush jobs from work was another contributing factor. So I cancelled my trip back to Penang hoping that I get to rest over the weekend, and the same weekend, we have to shift apartment! So, there goes another weekend that i can rest. We have been staying in the new apartment for the 2nd week, and we are still unpacking the items.
That's the whole excuse of not blogging. But I will try to blog more because I will be starting my wedding planning very soon!
