Being Preggie
The changes I experience since pregnant.
1. Hunger!!!
I get hungry easily. I eat breakfast (yes, I used to skip it), lunch, snacks around 5pm, dinner and cereal and milk around 2am before I can finally go to bed.
2. I like Rice
I have always been a 饭桶, and since I was always hungry, I eat even more! And suddenly, rice tastes so sweet! People said I have license to eat for two and so I obeyed. In my 4th month, I gained 5kg!!! My gynae told me to reduce my carbs intake. :<
3. My nipples grow bigger!
Apparently the size doesn't shrink back even after childbirth... Argg!!
4. My belly grows - that's obvious~
5. My wedding ring gets tighter
I wonder if I can still wear it in a month's time. Ning, if you are reading this, I need another diamond ring :P
6. I cry a lot
Never know that I have so MUCH tears! Whenever I get upset, tears streams down like switching on water tap! I am also amazed of my ability to tear so much!
7. Quick temper
I get frustrated easily. Guess who's the victim :)
8. I pee a lot
Pregnant makes people pee more than usual because the baby is on top of the bladder.
9. I have sensitive teeth
I felt sharp pain when I drink chilled water or ice cream. As I have been working on Sensodyne brand, I knew that I have sensitive teeth right away! Apparently, 75% of my calcium went to my baby during pregnancy (according to Ning), so, I started to drink milk everyday :S
10. I have stretch marks!!!!!!
I have been applying stretch mark lotion since 2nd months of pregnancy, and thought I would escape from getting one. But last week, I saw visible stretch marks appeared at the bottom of my belly!!! It is UGLY!!! And stretch marks don't vanish after childbirth! I told my mom and she said she had that too... and it will get lighten after years!!!! I am so sad now.
11. I am forgetful
Yes, I admit, I am forgetful. Even work stuff. Luckily no one knows yet.
12. I get smarter
People say that pregnant women are dumber. Not my case. I have been able to crack some really good creative concepts at work easily! I told Ning and he said it's because I have his genes in me now... $@%$#^@$#$&%^*&#%
13. How can I not mention body aching?!
At the earlier stage, I started to feel discomfort at the right side of my lower abdomen, I was afraid that it's appendicitis... Then, it was the upper abdomen. There as this sharp pain that especially painful after food. I went to see the doctor and he said, it's common but unfortunately because they cannot put me through an X-ray, they won't know whether it's rib cage pain, gall bladder pain or liver pain... but if the pain persists, they can refer me to the specialist. However, the specialist will only give me their opinion because they can't diagnose the problem if they can't scan me. This trip costs me RM 180. (&%#$%@).... After that, the rib cage pain extended to left side, front and back... As it has been awhile, now I kinda get used to it already.
14. I need to change bra size and cup!
I always feel that this is the consolation prize! hahaha!
15. It's tired to squat
The body weight is too heavy for the legs to handle when I squat. I can't imagine how it will feel in another 2 months time.
Despite all, I am glad that there are a few privileges being pregnant. People will make way for you. If you drop something, someone will help you pick it up. Your colleagues will not smoke in the office (after the bosses leave) if you are still in the office. You will get to sit when you are traveling on a public transportation. Apparently, you don't have to queue at public restroom (according to Elicia). Just shout 'Preggie needs to pee now!!!'
