It's not normal
I walk to work everyday. To minimize the time spent on walking and under the hot sun, the best route is to cut through the shopping mall. As I am probably their earliest "customer" that walk into the store, most of the time, almost 95% of the sales persons will greet me like I am the CEO. haha
There is this guard that stands outside one of the stores that always greet the customers with long greeting message (it must be the instruction from the manager). I always wonder why would they train him to say such a long sentence because... I normally still hear him trying to finish his greetings even thought I was already 5 feet away.
Last Friday, when I was on the way home, I can already hear him from far. I followed the voice and saw him standing 1 side of the entrance talking in the foreign language that I don't understand... but there was no customer entering or exiting the store. So I thought. He must be talking to someone he knows that stands outside the entrance. Naturally, when I stepped out from the store, I looked around searching for that person to support my hypothesis. There was nobody, but he was still talking aloud with hand gesture. I thought again. So, it's confirmed that either he is a bit kuku or he sees ghosts! I turned around and peeped at him from far, and he was still talking to himself, but he was hitting his own hand and scolding himself or someone else... that i don't know. However, the body language said that he was upset with something, or that people saw him talking to himself, i guess.
Today, as usual, he was there greeting me when I entered the store.
