Happy birthday to me!

It's 30 minutes before I turn 31 years old.

I tried to recall the past 30 birthdays I had, and there are a few that I remember quite well.

I don't remember my 1st birthday ~ I just saw myself in a red dress standing before a big colorful number "1" cake.

Then there was this birthday - I think I was 5... mom had a small birthday party for me at Bayan Baru apartment. Why i remember that birthday was because I puked after having too many birthday red eggs.

When I was 6, I had my birthday picture taken with all the August babies in the same kindergarten. Junling and Meisan are in the same picture. That's all I remember.

Then I had small birthday celebrations every year... which I don't really remember them in details.

On my 21 years old, my parents threw a birthday bash for me at home. I think we had about 60-80 guests coming to our house in Penang. It was a very memorable day because Penang was having a bad flood on that day. I remember it was still raining when the party ended.

I had the most birthday cakes on my ... either 22nd or 23rd birthday. If my memory doesn't fail me, I had 5 birthday cakes that year. Too bad that I lost contact with most of those that celebrated my birthday with me after I moved to KL.

When I started working, I tried to go on leave on my birthday. Just want to make it a habit not to work on my birthday, if possible.

I think it was 4 years ago, I had a pact with 2 colleagues who became closed friends of mine, that we will celebrate each other's birthday every year. It's the time when we consolidate what we have done, catch up each other's life stories, etc. I am glad that this tradition is still going on and getting strong... glad that the next birthday gathering is my birthday!

On my 29th birthday, I celebrated with Ning. We had dinner with my family at QBa. It was the 1st time Ning met my family... hihihi... I still remember the food and wine served! It was over the top when Ning gave Darsin the chef free hand to design the courses!

My 3oth birthday was on the flight back to KL from a getaway trip to Shanghai. I guess that was my birthday present too :P

2 minutes later, I will turn 31 years old. Happy Birthday to myself!
