Dumpling Party

Ning decided to have a dumpling session on Thursday when his dad came in town to meet up with his mom. Then he decided to invite the neighbors too... Then he said, why don't we make it as a house warming party?

That's how it started.

Since both of us were working on Thursday, so, mom and dad had to help us to buy all the necessary ingredients... and they then went over and prepared everything with Ning's parents. When I rushed back, it's almost ready... and the neighbors were already there.


So, everyone joined in the dumpling making... put some water onto the surface of the dumpling skin, then scoop the mixed meat in the middle of the skin, then use both your thumbs to press the skin against your index fingers. Then, throw them into the boiling water. To make sure that the meat is cooked, when the water boils, pour half glass of water into the pot, when the water boils again, pour the remaining half of the water in the glass. When the water boils for the 3rd time, it's cooked. That's what Ning's dad told me in the kitchen. All I can respond was, oOHHHHH.


The party ended when we realized that we still have to go to work (some, school) the next day. But it was a nice party, and Ning's mom said that she won't mind doing that for the 2nd time.
